“Before today’s celebration if it wasn’t for the meeting and proposal then there would be no wedding day. Fortunately, with a little help of from the modern way of finding Mr and Mrs Right, it did happen – and this story began over 4 years ago.
Picture this: a classic boy meets girl story – I mean a classic boy and girl swipe right story. After chatting online about all kinds of things from Star Wars to their favourite bands, Kate and Michael decided to have their first date at Harajuku Gyoza at South Bank. After dinner they walked along the river until 1am and shared their first kiss.
It was only cut short as Kate had work at 5am! From that first date on, they both knew this was something special as they ended up having their second date two days later and pretty much saw each other every single day from that point. Only 4 short months later they moved in together and have barely been apart since.
The proposal
Michael and Kate went down to Sydney for their 3rd anniversary in June 2021. It was a wonderful long-weekend getaway where they saw Hamilton the Musical and explored the city.
Michael was very excited for the day trip over to Taronga Zoo on the day of their anniversary. Little did Kate know, but Michael had decided this would be the perfect place to propose! Michael waited for the perfect opportunity and popped the question outside the aquarium. He slid the engagement ring on to Kate’s “coincidentally” perfectly manicured finger and she said YES!
Who knew that a little Swipe to “The Right”, would lead to what we are witnessing today…”
